Minto Cup

The Edmonton Eclipse, the Alberta Junior Lacrosse Champions, knew they were in an uphill battle going into the Minto Cup. After a rough opener versus Brampton, the Eclipse played Coquitlam very tough and played the eventual champion Orangeville team right to the end only losing by one goal. A very respectful showing by our Edmonton team.

Midget National Championships

Congratulations to the Alberta Midget National Lacrosse Team. The team narrowly missed bronze after losing in the second OT period to BC. The future of Alberta lacrosse was well represented by this squad, good job men!

President’s Cup

Congratulations to the Owen Sound Woodsmen for repeating as President Cup champions. Current Rush player Tyler Gibbons is on the squad and contributed 6 points in 6 games. Local Rush player Ryan McNish played for the Okotoks Raiders representing Alberta Lacrosse, unfortunately the Raiders would just miss the Medal round losing a statistical breakdown after finishing in a 3 way tie for first place.

Mann Cup

Running from September 4th to 12th in New Westminster, BC the Senior A championships will be played between the New Westminster Salmonbellies hosting the Brampton Excelsiors. Plenty of Rush players will be involved in the series including Brodie Merrill & Ian Hawksbee.
